I saw this in Dundrum last night. To be honest, the picture doesn't really do it justice...!

70" and I'd say it would take 5 or 6 normal sized people in a line to cover the screen from left to right..

So....

We flew to our Christmas party in Kerry last Saturday.. the landing was a bit, ropey, but not being a nervous wreck the second I step into a plane, I was fine with it all.. although there were a few white knuckles from some of the FM104 staff.. no names mentioned obviously!!

On the Sunday, the weather was just too bad to fly an ATR 72 (i'm a bit of a plane spotter) so we were told we'd be getting a bus to Dublin..!

Kerry to Dublin in a bus was not something many of us had planned so we decided to rent cars instead.

Ray who worked in engineering here and myself took it in turns to drive. We also had Jeremy from the phoneshow, Cathy from sales and Clare from traffic in the car too.

Went to the match last night, great result, weird atmosphere?!

There were times when the grounds fell silent.. almost as if the crowd were dying with the grounds!

Shay got to barely touch the ball at all, it was great seeing Ireland do that to a team in an international match. Can we still hang in there now I wonder??

A couple of weeks ago on the show we sent two lucky listeners over to London and we got an email off them when they came back...

The boys (Gavin O' Hagan and David Fitzsimons) had an amazing time at the premier of Children Of Men.


The highlight of their evening was meeting Jarvis Cocker at the after party.


I really wish that I could have availed of the trip myself, but work just wouldn't allow it, however, I just wanted to thank UIP, and FM104, for giving them such a wonderful prize, they had a great time, and haven't stopped talking about it since they arrived home.

As a MASSIVE Top Gear fan I just want to wish Richard Hammond all the best and hope he pulls through after yesterday's accident.

He was injured doing what he does best and I believe he was enjoying driving the dragster so much that he asked for just one more shot and it was then that he was injured.

Thoughts are with the Hamster and his family and I hope Clarkson and James are sitting beside him taking the piss on the show again very soon.

Today I was on Grafton St talking to lots of Dubs for Face to Face (our daily feature which you can check out Monday-Friday at 11.40 and 2.40) and this lovely girl was modelling for some yoghurt! Grafton St just came to a halt while she stood there.. the poor girl!!

Well...

It's Sunday afternoon and yet another weekend has rolled by. Where DO they go?

Here's something I saw on the way into work today.

Now the big question is why? If you look closely, you'll seat plastic seat covers still on the seats of the car. I never understood why people did this, in large amounts in the 80s and 90s but in this day and age, I still don't get it.

Why keep your seats clean for the next owner of your car? Why?

The start of two long weeks !!

Colm and Jim have packed their bags and headed off into the sunset for two weeks so I'll be sitting in their seat covering for the next while.

That means 5am starts every morning while the rest of you snooze your way through lots of ZZZZZzzzzzz's!

It's a hard show to cover and lots of the usual stuff will be packed away with the lads for the hols including The Word which will go up by €50 each day even though the lads are off. I've got the new Blizzards tune as my pick of the week, I'll be playing battle of the 90s every morning and playing the winning song about 9.30. I also have a set of tickets to the Dubs game at Croker to giveaway every morning and a cool prize of a weekend stay in a slick hotel and dinner and body treatments thrown in.. more details on the show. Remember being a kid and asking your mam or dad to get you a certain type of cereal just cause there was a toy in it? Well yesterday I did that! Except it was my girlfriend I had to ask. I wanted Coco Pops but we brokered a deal when I saw one of these bad boys on the box!

Imagine my joy when at 5.30 this morning I opened the new box of Cheerios to find the toy car sitting at the top of the box..(no really!). On a seperate note, I can't wait to see the film either ;-)

I hope the day gets better..

First off the iron attacked me this morning and left a nasty burn mark on the inside of my arm..

Then I decided to put on suncream as I'll be working outdoors for a bit today. Now what possessed Nivea to add shimmer/glitter stuff to their suncream I don't know but my steering wheel is destroyed, my clothes have gold stuff on them and my arms hands and face look quite strange. I'm not too far off Robin Williams this morning.




















On a seperate note, I went to see The Breakup last night in Vue cinema (what was wrong with Ster Century by the way lads!?). It's not a bad film and I would say go and see it - there's some funny bits and you do get to see Jennifer Aniston's bum albeit quite a blurry shot! The ending is very much a 'make way for The Breakup 2' which I'm not sure I like - I think it makes you want more from it but not in a "god I can't wait to see the next one" kind of way.

This weekend...

I've lots of copies of Summer Holiday Hits to give away this weekend.. There's 65 songs on it!!

Really are some great summer songs on it, I'm listening to the 3rd CD in the set at the moment in the office and China Black - Searching is blaring out.. I'd say the newsroom are going to start moaning soon ;-)

You can catch me on the FM104 Roadhog at EP Mooney on the Longmile Road this Saturday afternoon too, I'll be there from 3pm.
